Ibiza 2003
During July 2003 we went on holiday to
the Balearic Island of Ibiza to stay with our friends
Mark and Sam from Med
Divers. The boat is moored at San Antonio, the second
largest town on the island, where we could go to the shops
or find some evening entertainment after a day out on
the boat. As well as the three of us (Jonathan & Ian
Copelin and Chris Stewart), there were a couple of divers
who were staying on the boat, Jan and Steve.
As far as accommodation goes, the boat
is extremely luxurious: double room, two twin beds, two
bathrooms, kitchen and saloon. The boat is air conditioned
to provide comfortable sleeping temperatures at night
and a cool refuge during the warm sunny days. Food-wise,
all meals were served buffet style to cater for each persons
individual tastes. A typical breakfast was croissants
and jam for starters, poached egg, tomatoes and bacon
on toast washed down with fresh orange juice and of course
a cup of tea. Plenty of snacks and "nibbles"
were available during the day. A variety of sandwiches
or toasties provided for lunch - perfect for "refueling"
after a mornings jet skiing! Evening meals varied from
an on-board BBQ to going for a short walk to KFC, Pizza
Hut or Burger King. We also ate out at "The Old Cock"
and a steak house with Mark and Sam on the other side
of town where the meals were both excellent. We went out
for drinks at Pussy
Cats and Sgt Peppers 2 during the evenings.
Photos
We were able to keep a photographic record
of most of our holiday to Ibiza, we share a small selection
of them with you here. We went to more places than are
shown on these pages. As we aren't qualified to dive yet,
we don't have any photos of our own to show you. However,
you can see a selection of the underwater photos taken
by Mark during his dives with Jan and Steve here.
